The following Math sites are included so that you the Parent may bring yourself back up to speed in math as your student learns it. Ideally, your student should be seeking his or her teacher for help, review, and reinforcement, but an occasional power assist from home strengthens relationships, builds trust, and stops a meltdown. Some parents simply sit with their student as the student works, and read or do a favorite craft while sipping their favorite herbal tea. Companionship, even the silent kind, does matter!
Don’t assume that you cannot be helpful to your student in a pinch. Many parents are pleasantly surprised at how much better they are at Mathematics in general now that they have reached a certain age…
