Beautification Day, August 27, 2011:
Pacer Parents and Students began a massive cleanup effort at the back of the school. Some crew members worked for 5 hours on a hot day, and Beautification Chair Linda Poggi reports that there is more work to be done! The crew included the following Pacer Parents:

Classroom Furniture Installation Crew, Aug 26-31, 2011:
A THIRD wave of donated furniture came our way along with some brand new improvements and equipment, and the following Pacer Parents traded out old/obsolete furniture for new:

Here’s what they hauled and installed:
- 25 pieces of donated furniture were distributed to Lakeridge classrooms.
- New tables and whiteboards were distributed to the Lakeridge Robotics Lab.
- 3 pickup truck loads of obsolete furniture were removed and given to Goodwill Industries.
- Art Classroom computers were upgraded with new tables, keyboard trays, and monitors.
- The Teacher Lounge was upgraded with better tables and bookcases.
- Math Department Teacher workstations were upgraded with improvements.

B2 laptop stations have convenient built-in connections for power and ethernet.
Lab D25: (Library for Newspaper, Yearbook, Journalism, Art and other classes)
Installed new improved computer holders under tables.
Applied for Federal grant to upgrade remaining 7 computers in this lab.
Lab D26: (All classes)
Upgraded monitors to newer IBM CRT monitors, re-used from Hallinan Elementary.
Added tables and new wire management to increase lab size.
Added 4 computer stations to increase lab size from 29 to 36.
Lab D28: (All classes, Art, and Technology classes)
Upgraded monitors to newer DELL CRT monitors.
Added tables and new wire management to increase lab size.
Added 7 computer stations to increase lab size from 29 to 36.
Laptop Carts 3 and 4:
Added extra AC adapters for use in Science Lab classrooms.
Science Sensors:
Added extensions for power cables to plug in science sensors on top of tables.
Robotics Lab:
Added lab benches for working on electronics.
Added Steelcase storage cabinets
Typewriter:
Yes, we even repaired the one typewriter at school to use for completing grant forms.
Furniture Moving Crew #1, November 2010:
This group of Pacer Parents removed two large truckloads of old furniture from LHS and took it to Goodwill, then they unloaded and installed three large truckloads of donated surplus furniture. They spent 5 evenings removing old furniture, unloading trucks, and moving new furniture to classrooms. Thank you, everyone!
